Ready to Volunteer? July is a busy month for the Elk Volunteers! Art’s in the Park, County Fair, Tuesday and Thursday night dinners are just a few. We Need You! Watch for the Sign Up Sheets on the Lodge bulletin board and Volunteer. The Elks rely on the income generated from these events to fund our activities: Scholarships, Veterans, Camp and other great Elk Events! July 1 is Arts –in – the – Park. Serving Hamburgers, Brats and Hot Dogs. Sign up for a shift. July 31 is County Fair. We need your help! Cooks, pie makers, tomato slicers, cash register attendants and all others – help! SOCCER SHOOT-OUT! The local "Soccer Shoot-Out" contest for Boys/Girls will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. The contest will take place at Forestview Middle School on the Soccer fields behind the school. This contest is open to all boys/girls between the ages of 6-13, as of August 1st, 2007 and is solely sponsored by the Brainerd Elks Lodge. We are expecting a large turn out this year as it is on an evening when there is a Soccer Clinic being held for these kids. Mailers will go out to surrounding communities as well. This sport is gaining tremendous recognition among our youth. This year, the District Soccer Shoot-Out will be held in Brainerd as well, and the State Soccer Shoot-Out will be held at the Elks Youth Camp on Pelican Lake. We Need Help! There is a need for 15 volunteers to work about 3 hours. Please call Dick Lyscio to volunteer. Thanks to all of you who have helped with this program the past 2 years.
